Daily, weekly, biweekly, or monthly

Pick how often a pattern repeats. Weekly and biweekly let you choose specific weekdays — daily and monthly run without a day picker.

Automatic horizon, generate on demand

Active templates keep your roster filled weeks ahead. When you need shifts sooner, Generate now creates them immediately — up to your weeks-ahead limit.

1

Active templates run automatically

While a template is active, Crewtic keeps your schedule filled up to the weeks-ahead horizon you set — typically four weeks out.

2

Generate now on demand

Need shifts sooner? Hit Generate now from the list or detail view to create shifts immediately, up to your weeks-ahead limit.

3

Shifts land on your calendar

Generated shifts appear on your schedule calendar ready to review, adjust, and publish to crew.

Active or paused, your call

Turn templates on when you want shifts to flow. Pause them when a site closes or a role changes — the pattern stays saved until you need it again.

Active

New shifts are created automatically and on demand. Your roster stays filled ahead of time.

Inactive

The pattern is saved but paused — no new shifts are generated until you turn it back on.

Deleting a template removes the pattern only. Shifts already on your calendar stay exactly where they are.

From pattern to published roster

Templates do not replace your schedule calendar — they feed it. Define once, generate shifts, then review and publish like any other assignment.

1

Define the pattern

Set recurrence, times, location, and optional assignee in one template.

2

Shifts appear automatically

Crewtic pre-generates shifts up to your weeks-ahead setting — or on demand.

3

Publish from your calendar

Review generated shifts on the schedule calendar and publish when ready.
